Abstract


Objective: This study aimed at determining the acceptability level of family planning and its factors associated in view to participate to the promotion of the contraceptive practice. Material and methods: It was a cross- sectional study among 384 women in childbearing age during the period going from April to June 2015. A probabilistic sampling in clusters has been used. The chi-square has been used to compare proportions and the logistic regression for multivariate analysis. Results: The sample of our study was constituted of women of less than 30-year age (70%) with an average age of 31.25

Objectif: cette étude avait comme objectif de déterminer le niveau d’acceptabilité de la planification familiale et ses facteurs y associés en vue d’apporter notre pierre à la promotion de la pratique contraceptive. Matériel et méthodes: Il s’est agi d’une étude transversale conduite auprès de 384 femmes en âge de procréer durant la période allant d’avril à juin 2015. Un échantillonnage probabiliste en grappes a été utilisé. Le Khi-deux a été utilisé pour comparer les proportions et la régression logistique pour l’analyse multivariée. Résultats: L’échantillon de notre étude était constitué des femmes d’âge de moins de 30 ans (70%) avec un âge moyen de 31,25 ± 6,7ans ; sans profession de foi catholique et de niveau d’étude secondaire. Les femmes informées de la planification familiale étaient à 96%. L’acceptabilité de la planification familiale était de 42%. L’opposition du mari (40%), la peur des effets secondaires (25%) et l’opposition religieuse (19,5%) étaient les obstacles les plus rencontrés dans l’acceptabilité de la PF. La méthode de calendrier, le collier du cycle et les injectables étaient les méthodes les plus acceptées. L’acceptabilité était significativement associée à l’approbation du mari et au dialogue conjugal sur la contraception (p˂0,05). Conclusion: Les sensibilisations en matière de planification familiale devraient impliquer tous les deux membres du couple et surtout s’intéresser à l’homme pour arriver à une bonne acceptabilité de la Planification familiale par les femmes dans notre milieu d’étude.
