The mismatch between the needs and availability of socio-community infrastructure in urban and rural areas is a complex problem that requires urgent attention. This study aims to determine the disparities between the needs and availability of socio-community infrastructure in urban and rural areas in the commune of Djougou. To do this, 308 heads of household were interviewed on this issue in rural and urban areas. The data collected are qualitative data. The methods used are descriptive statistics and Chi2 dependency tests. The results of this study highlight significant differences between the perceptions of heads of household between urban and rural areas, particularly with regard to knowledge of land regulations (p-value = 9.628e-07), the distribution of infrastructure (p-value = 3.856e-08) and their impact on land value (p-value = 1.005e-10). These disparities highlight the importance of taking into account the specific perceptions of populations when developing policies and infrastructure projects, in order to better meet the needs and expectations of each environment.

L’inadéquation entre les besoins et la disponibilité des infrastructures sociocommunautaires en milieu urbain et rural est un problème complexe qui nécessite une attention urgente. La présente étude vise à déterminer les disparités entre les besoins et la disponibilité des infrastructures sociocommunautaires en milieu urbain et rural dans la commune de Djougou. Pour ce faire, 308 chefs de ménage ont été interrogés sur cette question en milieu rural et urbain. Les données recueillies sont les données qualitatives. Les méthodes utilisées sont la statistique descriptive et les tests de dépendance de Chi2. Les résultats de cette étude mettent en évidence des différences significatives entre les perceptions des chefs de ménage entre milieux urbains et ruraux, notamment en ce qui concerne la connaissance de la réglementation foncière (p-value = 9,628e-07), la répartition des infrastructures (p-value = 3,856e-08) et leur impact sur la valeur foncière (p-value = 1,005e-10). Ces disparités soulignent l’importance de prendre en compte les perceptions spécifiques des populations dans le cadre de l’élaboration de politiques et de projets d’infrastructure, afin de mieux répondre aux besoins et attentes de chaque milieu.
