Les sources salines de Bishusha sont nombreuses. Mais, dans le cadre de nos recherches, nous nous sommes intéressés à quatre : Mariba 1, Mariba 2, Kazihiro et Makera. Elles renferment différents sels appartenant soit au faciès « chloruré et sulfaté calcique et magnésien » soit à celui « chloruré sodique et potassique et magnésien ». Leur origine est profonde et est liée au lessivage et à la dissolution de l’encaissant évaporitique enfoui sous les formations quartzitiques, schisteuses, argileuses, laviques et pyroclastiques. Leurs eaux sont potables et consommables sans dangers excepté celles de Mariba 1.
