This study is part of the World Research Program for sustainable cities (ecological cities). Program coordinated by Massasuchetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Word Resources Institute (Washington, DC). Indeed, according to the International Development Research Center (2007), more than 60% of humanity will live in urban areas at the dawn of 2025. This concentration in urban areas is not without impact on the urban environment. It amplifies and aggravates the content and depth of the urban ecological crisis. Victims of this situation are, above all, the cities of developing countries, particularly characterized by the lack of urban planning. Thus, faced with strong global urbanization, ekistics, a support for urban ecology, presents appropriate solutions so that we can manage to renovate environmental policies, in order to place third millennium cities in the orbit of sustainability. urban environmental.

Cette étude, rentre dans le cadre de Programme de Recherche Mondiale des villes durables (villes écologiques). Programme coordonné par Massasuchetts Institute of Technology (MIT) et Word Ressources Institute (Washington, DC). En effet, d’après le Centre de Recherche pour le Développement international (2007), plus de 60% de l’humanité vivront en milieu urbain à l’aube de l’année 2025. Cette concentration dans les milieux urbains n’est pas sans impact sur l’environnement urbain. Elle amplifie et aggrave la teneur et la profondeur de la crise écologique urbaine. Sont victimes de cette situation, surtout les villes des pays en développement, caractérisées particulièrement par le manque de la planification urbaine. Ainsi, face à la forte urbanisation mondiale, l’ékistique, support de l’écologie urbaine présente des solutions appropriées pour que l’on parvienne à rénover les politiques environnementales, afin de placer les villes de troisième millénaire sur l’orbite de la durabilité environnementale urbaine.
