Abstract


The supply of Niamey in foodstuffs is made by products cultivated in the gardens of the city, vegetables were imported by the inside of Niger or through their import from the bordering countries. The vegetable sector is a chain which contains producers, retailers, intermediaries; public and private services, wholesalers as well as exporters. In the marketing of vegetables we find two seasons which are, among other, season price increase and the price decline.

Abstract: (french)


L'approvisionnement de Niamey en denrées alimentaires s'effectue par des produits cultivés dans les jardins de la ville, des légumes importés de l'intérieur du Niger ou à travers leur importation en provenance des pays limitrophes (Burkina Faso, Benin, Nigéria, Ghana etc.). La filière légumes correspond à une chaine qui contient en son sein des producteurs, détaillants, intermédiaires ; services publics et privés, grossistes ainsi que des exportateurs. Dans la commercialisation de légumes on retrouve deux saisons qui sont entre autre la saison de hausse de prix et celle de baisse de prix.
