Abstract


The effects of zeta potential on drinking water tanks were studied to find a suitable and cheap method to conserve the water specification biologically by preventing the growth of biofilm inside the inner surfaces of the tanks without any additives. تطرق البحث إلى تأثير جهد زيتا على خزانات مياه الشرب وإيجاد طريقة سهلة وغير مكلفة للمحافظة على مواصفات المياه داخلها, وذلك بالتقليل من نمو الطبقات الإحيائية على أسطح الجدران الداخلية لها دون أي مضافات كيميائية, لأجراء التجارب تم نصب ثلاث خزانات بلاستيكية سعة 1م3 الخزان الأول هو خزان التغذية الرئيسي والثاني خزان السيطرة بالرمز(A) وهو بدون معالجة أما الخزان الثالث يزود بجهاز توليد جهد زيتا (ZRS-R) ثابت الفولتية (±30 كيلو فولت) بالرمز (B). يتم العمل بصورة مماثلة للحالة الفعلية من خزن واستهلاك يومي للماء, لتقيم النتائج درست المواصفات الفيزيائية (الأملاح الذائبة الكلية,التوصيلية الكهربائية, الأس الهيدروجيني, درجة الملوحة) وكذلك المواصفات البيولوجية المتضمنة في الكشف عن الأحياء المجهرية (البكتريا ,الفطريات والطحالب) العالقة في الماء والمسببة فيما بعد للطبقة الإحيائية. أثبت نتائج الفحوصات الفيزيائية تحسنا في مواصفات المياه المعرضة لجهد زيتا في الحد من الترسبات الملحية والطينية, أما الفحوصات البيولوجية كانت أفضل في تقييم أداء جهد زيتا بسبب النتائج المقاربة لقيمة (0)خلية بكتيرية و(0) خلية فطرية وكذلك انحسار نمو الطحالب في الخزان (B) عن خزان السيطرة (A)الذي كان لظهور المستعمرات البكتيرية والفطرية ظهورا واضحا.
