Abstract


Vegetation cover degradation is accelerating in Ferkess

Abstract: (french)


La dégradation du couvert végétal connaît une accélération dans le département de Ferkessédougou. L’objectif de cette étude est d’évaluer les changements de l’occupation du sol entre 1986 et 2006. La méthodologie est basée sur une analyse des images satellites landsat TM(1986) et landsat ETM+(2006). Elle a permis de montrer que La matrice du paysage, initialement constituée par les forêts claires (57,18% du paysage), s’est dégradée au profit des savanes (qui ont conquis 25,21 % des forêts claires), des jachères et cultures. L’étude a surtout montré la savanisation du département de Ferkessédougou avec un taux d'évolution de +0,72 de la classe savane entre 1986 et 2006. Aussi, l'augmentation des cultures et habitats a été constatée. Il y a donc globalement un glissement des zones naturelles vers les zones anthropisées dû en grande partie à l’augmentation de la pression humaine.
