This study aims to reveal the physical and psychological disorders suffered by the elderly residing in the social welfare establishment and the gender differences among the study sample consisting of 75 elderly men and women. Two lists were used to collect data, the first one for physical diseases and the second for psychological disorders. The Khi2 test and percentages were used to process on data. The results showed that the study sample was exposed to physical and psychological illnesses, and the difference between the sexes was not statistically significant. These results hold the study two main hypothesis, emphasizing the need for appropriate diagnosis and treatment for both sexes.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الاضطرابات الجسمية والنفسية التي يعاني منها المسنون المقيمون بمؤسسة الرعاية الاجتماعية، والفروق بين الجنسين لدى عينة الدراسة المكونة من 75 مسنا ومسنة. تم استخدام قائمتين لجمع المعلومات الأولى خاصة بالاضطرابات الجسمية والثانية خاصة بالاضطرابات النفسية لكل من الذكور والإناث وتم استخدام اختبار كاي khi2 والنسب المئوية لمعالجة المعطيات. أظهرت النتائج أن عينة الدراسة تعرضت لمجموعة من الاضطرابات الجسمية والنفسية، كما بينت عدم وجود دلالة إحصائية للفروق بين الجنسين وتدعم هذه النتائج الفرضيتين الرئيسيتين للدراسة مما يؤكد الحاجة إلى التشخيص الملائم وتقديم العلاجات والمساعدة لكلا الجنسين.
