Each culture possesses its unique aspects that are mostly recognized and employed by the members of the same in-group. Most individual and collective cultures hold and share aspects that are agreed upon and accepted by the groups and individuals belonging to the same environment and culture. Jews resided in Morocco, hand in hand, with the Amazighe for centuries prior to the advent of Islam. They constituted their own social and religious in-groups that were far removed from any social group in Morocco. They co-existed in harmony with a number of Amazigh tribes in several mountainous areas. Islam also protects Judaism as Jews are considered as the People of the Book, but the Jews are discriminated against based on some religious fallacies held solely by extremists. This study begins with an account of Moroccan Jews so as to manifest the primary reason behind restricting themselves within their own minority and social in-groups.
