The term social and solidarity economy (SSE) is increasingly being used to refers to the production of goods and services by a broad range of organizations that are distinguished from enterprise and informal economy. This organizations serves a collective aim and are guided by principles and practices of cooperation, solidarity, ethics and democratic self-management. The main purpose of this paper is to show the important role of Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in the Local Development.

Abstract

L’Economie sociale et solidaire (ESS) regroupe un ensemble de structures très diverses dans leurs réalités et qui reposent sur des valeurs et des principes communs : utilité sociale, éthique, gouvernance démocratique, ancrage territorial et mobilisation citoyenne. L’Economie sociale et solidaire est une économie respectueuse de l’homme et de son environnement, elle est don au service de la société et du citoyen. Cet article a pour principal objectif de présenter le positionnement des Organisations d’Economie Sociale et Solidaire dans le processus de gouvernance, ainsi que de montrer l’importante articulation entre développement local et Organisations d’Economie Sociale et Solidaire.
