Abstract


The birth of twins among the Songye people is at the origin of a particular rite considered necessary to ensure their growth and a stable life in the family. This rite is a special time of the design point of view of pregnancy, childbirth, newborn meal output motherhood, life in the courtyard or family and the enthronement of these children in the community.
This study is carried out in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in the province of Lomami territory of Lubao, Tshofa sector. The survey method supported by the unstructured interview technique in an approach to oral tradition provided the framework for the necessary information.

La naissance des jumeaux chez le peuple Songye est à l'origine d'un rite particulier estimé nécessaire pour garantir leur croissance ainsi qu'une vie stable dans toute la famille. Ce rite constitue un moment particulier du point de vue conception de la grossesse, accouchement, repas de nouveau-nés, sortie de la maternité, la vie dans la cour ou en famille ainsi que l'intronisation de ces enfants dans la vie communautaire.
Cette étude est réalisée en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC), dans la province de Lomami, territoire de Lubao, secteur de Tshofa. La méthode d'enquête soutenue par la technique d'interview non structurée dans une approche de la tradition orale a servi de cadre pour obtenir les informations nécessaires.
