The present research is devoted to the study of the socio-economic valuation of the development of the hydro-agricultural site of the Tchakalakou water reservoir in the Commune of Toucountouna. The data used is obtained through desk research and field surveys. The yield and production cost of the activities carried out on the agricultural site of Tchakalakou and those collected from the farmers of the district made it possible to process the data collected from the heads of households and local authorities in order to analyze the results obtained.Analysis of the results of our investigations indicate that the hydro-agricultural site of Tchakalakou is favorable to the production of all crops in all seasons. Unfortunately farmers do not attach importance to activities on the site where the relaxation of agricultural and fishing activities in recent years. Over the entire area of the irrigation area, only 23.7 % of rice production and 33.8 % of market garden produce are produced in the rainy season. Two land acquisition modes dominated the study environment. Inheritance (48.6 %) and 37.1 % for donation.

La présente recherche est consacrée à l’étude de la valorisation socio-économique de l’aménagement du site hydro-agricole de la retenue d’eau de Tchakalakou dans la Commune de Toucountouna.Les données utilisées sont obtenues grâce à la recherche documentaire et aux enquêtes de terrains. Le rendement et le coût de production des activités menées sur le site agricole de Tchakalakou et celles collectées auprès des exploitants agricoles de l’Arrondissement ont permis de traiter les données collectées auprès des chefs de ménage et autorités locales afin d’analyser les résultats obtenus.L’analyse des résultats issus de nos enquêtes indiquent que le site hydro-agricole de Tchakalakou est favorable à la production de toutes cultures en toutes saisons. Malheureusement les exploitants agricoles n’accordent pas une importance aux activités sur le site d’où le relâchement des activités agricoles et de pêche ces dernières années. Sur toute l’étendue de l’espace hydro-agricole, on remarque seulement la production du riz (Oryza sativa) 23,7 % et de quelques produits maraichers 33,8 % en saison pluvieuse. Deux modes d’acquisition des terres ont dominé dans le milieu d’étude. L’héritage (48,6 %) et 37,1 % pour don.
