The aim of this study is to show the contribution of recruitment quality to the sustainable development of companies in the water and energy sector. So, data was collected by a questionnaire from 256 employees. These were analyzed using structural equation modeling. It emerges that recruitment quality partially influences Sustainable Development; because it has a positive and significant impact on environmental performance, and a negative but not significant impact on social performance. In addition, we have found that the introduction of a new recruit is decisive for the social climate quality that will prevail within it. Therefore, employees must be trained on the objectives of the company in its quest for sustainable development. And so, to know what they must undertake as a strategy to achieve these goals.

Abstract

L’objectif de cette étude est de montrer la contribution de la qualité de recrutement au développement durable des entreprises du secteur de l’eau et de l’énergie au Cameroun. Alors, des données ont été collectées par questionnaire auprès de 256 employés de ces entreprises. Ces dernières ont été analysées au moyen de la modélisation en équations structurelles. Il en ressort que, la qualité de recrutement influence partiellement le Développement Durable; Car il impact de manière positive et significative la performance environnementale, et de manière négative mais non significative la performance sociale. En outre, on a constaté que, l’introduction d’une nouvelle recrue est déterminante pour la qualité de climat social qui règnera au sein de celle-ci. De ce fait, les employés doivent être formés sur les objectifs de l’entreprise dans sa quête vers le développement durable. Et ainsi, savoir ce qu’ils doivent entreprendre comme stratégie pour l’atteinte desdits objectifs.
