North-western Guinea is home to significant mineral resources (bauxite, par excellence), diamonds and gold, as well as a few indications of useful minerals. Significant deposits of useful minerals have now been identified, some of which are being exploited (e.g. the bauxite deposits of Boké, Fria, Boffa and Télimélé). However, a good number are still foreseeable, given the favorable geological conditions. So, with the prospect of obtaining appreciable and acceptable scientific results, the aim of this work is to study the bauxitic facies and the main geochemical parameters (Al2O3, Fe2O3, TiO2, SiO2 and power) associated with them, among which titanium appears to be the most stable parameter, with a content varying from 1.71 to 4.14% throughout the deposit. Geological work in the study area has revealed the presence of gelomorphic and gravelly bauxites, and has also brought us into contact with certain source rocks (dolerites and cuirasses). Samples processed and analyzed showed alumina content ranging from 37 to over 50%.

Le nord-ouest guinéen recèle d’importantes ressources minérales (la bauxite, par excellence), le diamant et l’or; aussi s’ajoutent quelques indices des minéraux utiles Les importants gisements des minéraux utiles sont de nos jours mis en évidence dont certains d’entre eux sont en exploitation (cas des gisements bauxitiques de Boké, de Fria, de Boffa et de Télimélé). Cependant, bons nombres sont encore prévisibles en tenant compte des conditions géologiques favorables. Ainsi donc, avec des perspectives d’avoir des résultats scientifiques appréciables et acceptables, l’on s’est fixé pour objectif de ces présents travaux, aux études des faciès bauxitiques et des principaux paramètres géochimiques (Al2O3, Fe2O3, TiO2, SiO2 et puissance) y afférant, parmi eux le titane apparait comme le paramètre le plus stable avec une teneur variant de 1,71 à 4,14% dans tout le gisement. Dans la zone d’études des travaux géologiques ont révélé la présence des bauxites gélomorphes et graveleuses d’une part et d’autre part nous ont permis d’être en contact avec certaines roches mères (les dolérites et les cuirasses). Les échantillons traités et analysés ont prouvé une teneur en alumine qui varie de 37 à plus de 50%.
