This paper aims to explore the various perceptions regarding the origins of frequent electricity interruptions in the Mbanza-Ngungu housing estate. By gathering the views of residents, the collection aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the potential causes of power cuts in the cité, with a view to improving network reliability. Residents’ testimonies revealed that power cuts are caused by technical problems such as breakdowns due to outdated distribution equipment, overloading of HTA cables and network power transformers, as well as poor management of energy resources. Subscribers also expressed their frustration at the slowness of local authorities to resolve problems linked to the supply of electrical energy in their community. The article concludes that urgent measures need to be taken to solve the energy supply problems in the housing estate in order to improve the living conditions of the residents.

Abstract

Cette communication vise à explorer les diverses perceptions quant aux origines des interruptions fréquentes d’électricité dans la cité de Mbanza-Ngungu. En rassemblant les points de vues des résidents, le recueil vise à fournir un aperçu complet des causes potentielles des coupures d’électricité dans la cité, afin d’améliorer la fiabilité du réseau. Les témoignages des résidents ont révélé que les coupures d’électricité sont causées par des problèmes techniques tels que des pannes dues par un état vétusté des équipements de distribution, surcharge des câbles HTA et transformateurs de puissance du réseau, ainsi que par une mauvaise gestion des ressources énergétiques. Les abonnés ont également exprimé leur frustration quant à la lenteur des autorités locales à résoudre les problèmes liés à la desserte de l’énergie électrique dans leur communauté. L’article conclut que des mesures urgentes doivent être prises pour résoudre les problèmes d’approvisionnement énergétique dans la cité afin d’améliorer les conditions de vie des habitants.
