This paper reflects the benefits to control transit countries have adopted architecture of intelligent transportation systems as a model for the deployment of intelligent traffic systems. Efforts are evident in the traffic control agencies of Ecuador in generating and implementing projects to improve their controls of transit using information technology and communication, however interoperability and heterogeneity are due deficiencies deployments that are performed without using a model that the normal and standardized. The recent creation of autonomous governments who will within its competence, traffic control, evidence a risk of implementing new traffic control systems, exacerbating the problem continue. This research proposes the adoption of a Framework for the design of an ITS Architecture in Ecuador which aims to improve the interoperability of existing systems from a model for deploying new traffic control systems.

El presente trabajo refleja los beneficios para el control de tránsito de los países que han adoptado una arquitectura de sistemas inteligentes de transportación como modelo para el despliegue de sus sistemas inteligentes de tránsito. Se evidencian los esfuerzos en los organismos de control de tránsito del Ecuador en la generación y ejecución de proyectos para mejorar sus controles de tránsito con la utilización de tecnologías de la información y comunicación, sin embargo la interoperabilidad y la heterogeneidad son carencias debido a que sus despliegues se realizan sin la utilización de un modelo que los normalice y estandarice. La reciente creación de los gobiernos autónomos descentralizados, quienes tendrán dentro de sus competencias, el control del tráfico, evidencia un riesgo de implementación de nuevos sistemas de control de tráfico, que continúen agudizando el problema. Esta investigación propone la adopción de un Marco de Trabajo para el diseño de una Arquitectura ITS en el Ecuador que pretende mejorar la interoperabilidad de los sistemas existentes a partir de un modelo para el despliegue de los nuevos sistemas de control de tránsito.
