[ Les interviews des radios internationales sur le Zaïre (1992-1994) : Leçons à tirer ]

Interview is very important for a journalist and listeners. It is a dashboard which permit to the first seeing if he works conscientiously, and to seconds if journalist is a rooster in middle of village or he have penchant for one camp or another. In this item, I want to verify, in facts, if broadcasts well-targeted have respected or not principles of profession, that is to say two sounds of bell each time they interview people. My sample was constituted of 537 interviews and was collected between October the 5th 1992 and September the 24th 1994, on seven International Broadcasting stations. Voice of America arrives in head, with 73 (62.4%). Africa N°1 and Nederland Broadcasting have respectively 3 unites, or 2.6 % and bring up the rear. I have sub-divide groups of persons who are called for an interview (interviewed) in three: 1° Opposition, 2° Neutrals or Experts, 3° Power or Presidential Covance or “Status quo”. First obtains 45.8%, second has 32.4%, last group had realize a score of 21.8%.

L’interview est un procédé médiatique très important aussi bien pour le journaliste que pour les auditeurs, téléspectateurs ou les lecteurs. C’est un tableau de bord qui permet au premier de voir s’il travaille consciencieusement, et aux seconds de savoir si le journaliste est véritablement l’arbre au milieu du village ou s’il a un penchant pour l’un ou l’autre camp. Cette étude veut vérifier, dans les faits, si les radiodiffusions internationales ont bel et bien respecté les principes de leur profession ou non. Nous sommes partis d’un échantillon de 537 interviews prélevées entre Octobre 1992 et Septembre 1994, de sept radios internationales ayant pignon sur rue au Zaïre au cours de la période concernée. La VOA, radio nord-américaine, se démarque des autres radios, avec 62.4%. Africa N°1 et Radio Nederland ferment la marche avec 2.6% chacune. Ayant subdivisé les catégories de personnes interviewées en trois, nous avons découvert que c’est l’Opposition au pouvoir de Mobutu dont les membres ont été beaucoup interviewés (45.8%), suivie des experts (32.4%) ; la Mouvance présidentielle ou les ‘’statu quoïstes’’ viennent en dernière position avec 21.8%. Ce qui dénote d’un parti pris manifeste pour le changement de la part de ces radios.
