Sankuru is one of the new provinces of DR Congo which is to count among the areas most marked by the recurrence of violence. As a result, its political space is reconfigured by interethnic or identity conflicts Ekonda-Eswe which have a colonial origin and overlapped in the minds of the elites. Nowadays, the persistence of these conflicts is better explained by the pluralistic electoral deadlines the differentiated development and the weakness of the authority of the State.

Abstract

Sankuru est l'une des nouvelles Provinces de la RD Congo qui est à compter parmi les espaces les plus marqués par la récurrence de la violence. De ce fait, son espace politique est reconfiguré par les conflits interethniques ou identitaires « Ekonda-Eswe » qui ont une origine coloniale et se sont superposés dans les consciences des élites. De nos jours, la persistance de ces conflits est mieux expliquée par les échéances électorales pluralistes, le développement différencié et la faiblesse de l’autorité de l’Etat.
