Over the last four decades, cities in the South have seen the remarkable development of a phenomenon that until then had manifested itself with little force: urbanization. This phenomenon has led to profound changes in land use and multiple transformations of spatial structures. The objective of this research is to examine how the inhabitants of Luwowoshi adapt to the living conditions generated by the production of housing, the specific configurations of public space and to understand the evolution of urban morphology. The urban explosion in this district is accelerating and the difficulties of access to land for the populations who live there are becoming more and more accentuated.

Abstract

Au cours de ces quatre dernières décennies, les villes du Sud ont vu se développer de manière remarquable un phénomène qui jusque-là ne s’était manifesté qu’avec peu de force: l’urbanisation. Ce phénomène a entrainé de profondes mutations dans l’occupation du sol et de multiples transformations des structures spatiales. L’objectif dans cette recherche est d’examiner comment les habitants de Luwowoshi s’adaptent aux conditions de vie générées par la production de logements, les configurations spécifiques de l’espace public et de saisir l’évolution de la morphologie urbaine. L’explosion urbaine dans ce quartier s’accélère et les difficultés d’accès à la terre pour les populations qui y habitent s’accentuent de plus en plus.
