This study was conducted in the Badénou protected forest, at the periphery and nearby the villages of Tiébila and Nafoun. The Badénou classified forest is exposed to imminent deforestation by local populations. This study aims to determine the floristic diversity of the western peripheral part of this forest. The data was collected using floristic inventories. Floristic diversity was assessed by determining species richness, number of genera and families, Shannon-Weaver diversity and Piélou equitabilty indices. The study identified 243 species grouped into 161 genera and 60 families. This flora contains 147 herbaceous species grouped into 92 genera and 34 families. The woody species, numbering 96, belong to 72 genera and 30 families. The Shannon-Weaver diversity index (3.76) showed an average diversity of woody flora. The Piélou equitabilty index (0.82) reflects an almost equitable distribution of woody individuals between species. The results of this study contributed to take stock of the flora of this forest.

Cette étude a été conduite au niveau de la forêt classée de Badénou, en périphérie et à proximité des villages riverains de Tiébila et Nafoun. La forêt classée de Badénou est exposée à des risques imminents de déforestation par les populations riveraines. Cette étude a pour objectif de déterminer la diversité floristique de la partie périphérique Ouest de cette forêt. Les données ont été collectées à l’aide d’inventaires floristiques. La diversité floristique a été évaluée en déterminant la richesse spécifique, le nombre de genres et de familles, les indices de diversité de Shannon - Weaver et d’équitabilité de Piélou. L’inventaire a permis de recenser 243 espèces réparties en 161 genres et 60 familles. Cette flore renferme 147 espèces herbacées se regroupant en 92 genres et 34 familles. Les espèces ligneuses, au nombre de 96, appartiennent à 72 genres et 30 familles. L’indice diversité de Shannon - Weaver (3,76) a montré une diversité moyenne de la flore ligneuse. L’indice d’équitabilité de Piélou (0,82) traduit une répartition presque équitable des individus ligneux entre les espèces. Les résultats de cette étude ont contribué à la réalisation de l’état des lieux de la flore de cette forêt.
