This article examines the importance of information technology as a tool and support for informal private sector operators. Despite limited use of information technology, entrepreneurs recognize the importance of telecommunications, particularly smartphones, for their businesses. The article raises questions about these operators’ understanding and adoption of information technology, while advocating for increased awareness of its benefits. The objectives of this study include increasing the appeal of information technology tools and recognizing their essential role in communication and improving productivity. As a pillar of the business environment, information technology is presented as indispensable for management, monitoring, and innovation. The rapid evolution of information technology and its integration into various sectors underscore the need for businesses to adapt to new technologies. Social media, in particular, is identified as crucial platforms for marketing and business development. They strongly influence consumer purchasing decisions and facilitate the creation of lasting customer relationships.

Cet article examine l’importance de l’informatique comme outil et support pour les opérateurs du secteur privé informel. Malgré une utilisation limitée des technologies informatiques, les entrepreneurs reconnaissent l’importance des télécommunications, notamment des smartphones, pour leurs activités. L’article soulève des questions sur la compréhension et l’appropriation de l’informatique par ces opérateurs, tout en plaidant pour une sensibilisation accrue à ses avantages. Les objectifs de cette réflexion incluent l’augmentation de l’attrait pour les outils informatiques et la reconnaissance de leur rôle essentiel dans la communication et l’amélioration de la productivité. L’informatique, en tant que pilier de l’environnement des affaires, est présentée comme indispensable pour la gestion, le monitoring et l’innovation. L’évolution rapide de l’informatique et son intégration dans divers secteurs soulignent la nécessité pour les entreprises de s’adapter aux nouvelles technologies. Les réseaux sociaux, en particulier, sont identifiés comme des plateformes cruciales pour le marketing et le développement commercial. Ils influencent fortement les décisions d’achat des consommateurs et facilitent la création de relations clients durables.
