Objectives: It consisted in evaluating psychosocial risk factors among midwives/ maieuticians of Yalgado Ouédrago University Hospital Center of Ouagadougou. Methodology: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional and analytical study, carried out using an anonymous self-questionnaire. The Karasek scale was used to identify risk situations. Data were entered and analyzed using Epi info version 7.0 software. The significance level chosen was p < 5% to assess the link between socio-professional variables and stress. Result: A total of 42 midwives/maieuticians were participated in the study. The average age was 38 years old. Women predominated (71.4%). The average weekly working hours was 45 hours. The average number of monthly guards was 6. The average seniority in the profession was 10.5 years. The prevalence of psychosocial risks was 88.1% for psychological demand, 57.1% for low decision latitude and 64.3% for low social support. Value conflicts (71.4%), job and work insecurity (52.4%) and emotional demands (21.4%) were collected. The prevalence of job train was 52.4% and that of isostrain was 26.2%. The correlation between socio-professional variables and stress was not statistically significant (p˃0.05). Conclusion: Psychosocial risks are omnipresent among midwives/maieuticians. It is urgent to promote the creation of occupational health services in care settings in order to improve the psychosocial environment and to detect the suffering of caregivers early.

Objectifs: Il consistait à évaluer les facteurs de risques psychosociaux parmi les sages-femmes/maïeuticiens du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Yalgado Ouédrago de Ouagadougou. Méthodologie: Il s’agissait d’une étude descriptive, transversale et analytique, réalisée à l’aide d’un auto-questionnaire anonyme. L’échelle de Karasek était utilisée pour identifier les situations à risque. Les données étaient saisies et analysées grâce au logiciel Epi info version 7.0. Le seuil de signification choisi était de p < 5 % pour évaluer le lien entre les variables socioprofessionnelles et le stress. Résultats: Au total, 42 sages-femmes/maïeuticiens avaient participé à l’étude. L’âge moyen était de 38 ans. Les femmes prédominaient (71,4%). La moyenne d’heures de travail hebdomadaire était de 45 heures. Le nombre moyen de garde mensuelle était de 6. L’ancienneté moyenne dans la profession était de 10,5 ans. Les prévalences des risques psychosociaux étaient de 88,1% pour la demande psychologique, 57,1% pour la faible latitude décisionnelle et 64,3% pour le faible soutien social. Les conflits de valeur (71,4%), l’insécurité de l’emploi et du travail (52,4%) et l’exigence émotionnelle (21,4%) étaient colligés. La prévalence du job train était de 52,4% et celle de l’isostrain était de 26,2%. La corrélation entre les variables socioprofessionnelles et le stress n’était pas statistiquement significative (p˃0,05). Conclusion: Les risques psychosociaux sont omniprésents chez les sages-femmes/maïeuticiens. Il urge de promouvoir la création des services de santé au travail dans les milieux de soins afin d’améliorer l’environnement psychosocial et de détecter précocement la souffrance des soignants.
