A prospective study based on the prevalence of dyslipidemia was carried out in order to diagnose abnormalities in patients aged at least 50 years in consultation at the Riviera clinic in Bandalungwa in Kinshasa. The analysis of 50 blood samples from the subjects revealed in the distribution of patients, a male predominance with 62.0%, including 40.0% engaged in physical activities and 30.0% having a history of diabetes. 30.0% of cases manifested hypercholesterolemia and 14.0%, hyperLDLemia. The study confirms the significant prevalence of dyslipidemia in healthy adults aged at least 50 years, linked to the association of several modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors in the population studied.

Une étude prospective basée sur la prévalence de la dyslipidémie a été menée afin de diagnostiquer les anomalies chez les patients âgés d’au moins de 50 ans en consultation à Riviera clinic de Bandalungwa à Kinshasa. L’analyse de 50 échantillons de sang des sujets a révélé dans la répartition des patients, une prédominance masculine avec 62,0%, dont 40,0% s’adonnant aux activités physiques et 30,0% ayant les antécédents diabétiques. 30,0% de cas ont manifesté une hypercholestérolémie et 14,0%, l’hyperLDLémie. L’étude confirme la prévalence importante de la dyslipidémie chez les adultes sains d’au moins 50 ans, liée à l’association de plusieurs facteurs de risques modifiables et non modifiables dans la population étudiée.
